All Drives On

I built this corner unit a few years ago actually but recently refinished and repainted it.  Birch plywood and Poplar with casters.  For Sale.

I put in a couple of climbing vines recently and made a little trellis for each.  The trellis is actually mounted to the fence.  Hopefully it can take the weight once the vine matures.

I found these two roll signs at a salavage shop in Berkeley.  I custom built the frames and had glass cut to size.  The larger one hangs in my hallway, the smaller was sold to a friend.

A quick little thing I did for my wife’s office. Business card holders made from Cherry with Aluminum U-channels inset in the wood. In the rear is a single post made from a screw set.

I fabricated this hanging succulent garden out of PVC pipe. The end caps are cut from plastic decking and the whole thing is suspended by galvanized wire. I’m thinking of trying to sell these in the near future if anybody is interested.

So I set up a Tumblr site to showcase the stuff that I do. I was working as an Industrial Designer, but then I was laid off and the economy tanked. Now I stay at home with my awesome kid, which is ten times better than being an Industrial Designer. I still love to design and build various items around the house, and I collect links on the internet. This is the place where I will now put all that stuff.
